Born in New York and raised in northern New Jersey, E. William Blochinger has lived in Los Angeles for the past ten years. He started out shooting covers for such tattoo magazines as Tattoo Savage, Tattoo Flesh, Skin Art, Tattoo for Women, and others. Will then turned his lens to Rock 'n Roll, first by shooting concerts and then by shooting the musicians, in the studio, for such publications as Pulse Magazine, Metal Hammer, Mean Street Magazine as well as the tattoo magazines. Soon musicians were calling, needing promotional shots for the instruments they endorsed, work on their albums, or publicity photos.  Soon, so did the record labels, publicity agents and management companies.
