Misty E. May-Treanor (born July 30, 1977) is an American professional beach volleyball player.

May-Treanor is the daughter of Bob "Butch" May, a member of the 1968 US volleyball team and prominent beach player, and Barbara May, a nationally-ranked tennis player who later transitioned to beach volleyball. Barbara died of cancer in 2002. A prominent tattoo on Misty's shoulder, an angel with the initials "B.M.", is a reminder of her mother.

She shares a tattoo with her husband, Detroit Tigers player Matt Treanor, that is of a M-squared.

She is a fan of and childhood friends with basketball star Jason Kidd, who was in the stands when May-Treanor and Walsh defended their gold medal in Beijing. The tattoo of a roman numeral five on her lower back is her retired number from school and the initials are a tribute to her grandmother.
